Power Outage

With the power out for 48 hours we found plenty of family time. The streets were quiet; there wasn't a steady hum of street lights or people walking about. Everyone stayed inside, huddled by the fireplace or gas heater. We read a lot of books and cooked the comfort foods. We were warm, dry and had full tummies. No complaints. I felt comforted by this house, as it was built in 1887 and with stood many storms. No real damage done, just need to replace a refrigerator full of food. I will praise God in the storm!
